Shed break-in in Cecil Street, Rothwell

Dear Resident

We are investigating a shed break-in which occurred on Cecil Street in Rothwell

The break in occurred between between 21:00 on the 16th, and 07:00 on the 17th.

We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to the break-in or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious.

Garage break

If you have a burglar alarm at home, ensure it extends to cover the garage too.

Add external lighting to cover the garage door.

If your garage has windows, keep these closed and locked

Shed break

Sheds are often broken into by burglars who will steal tools to use to break into your house. Keep your shed locked and obscure any windows with window film, paint, or net curtains.

If possible, choose to store expensive items such as lawn mowers, hedge cutters, bikes and tools more securely in a garage.
